UK’s leading environmental consultancy, Thomson Environmental Consultants, has unveiled a new branch in East Anglia, strengthening its presence in the UK.

The expansion has led to the recruitment of three new roles and presents the opportunity for more than 20 new roles in the next 12 months, supporting the company’s impressive growth plans and service demand.

The consultancy has welcomed James Booty as Senior Ecological Consultant and Regional Office Manager at the new East Anglia branch. Chris Bridge, a highly accomplished field Ecologist with a wide range of experience, will join James in leading and managing the growing East Anglia team as Senior Ecological Consultant. Ana Pino-Blanco, a licensed bat specialist with considerable experience in supporting clients with various bat survey and mitigation techniques, will also join the office as an Ecological Consultant.

The consultancy, which specialises in environmental compliance, also welcomed two new positions to its Manchester and Cardiff branches.

Former News Editor of the Royal Horticultural Society, Dr Martin Page, has joined the company as the Regional Manager and Principal Ecologist in Manchester to bolster the consultancy’s botanical skills while driving the expansion of the Manchester team.

Rosy Benbow joined the Cardiff branch as Principal Ecological Consultant, bringing a wide breadth of experience from Biodiversity Net Gain to breeding bird surveys and will support the Cardiff team manager in delivering on existing project commitments and initiating new leads for business in Wales and the South West of England.

The appointments follow a series of contract wins, including rail and highway upgrade schemes, habitat monitoring for Natural England, and biodiversity net gain assessments for various strategic developments.
