Nottingham care home manager is finalist in national awards
A Nottingham care home manager is days away from finding out if she will be named one of the best care home managers in the UK.
Anne Mirasol, manager at Lovett Care’s Ruddington Manor care home in Wilford, Nottingham, is a finalist in the East Midlands region of the Great British Care Awards in the Care Home Registered Managers category.
Celebrating excellence in social care, the Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events held throughout the UK to recognise individuals who are outstanding in their field of work. Entries are by nomination only, with all shortlisted nominees required to attend an interview with an independent panel of judges.
Anne, who was recently promoted from deputy manager to registered manager at Ruddington Manor, is a highly experienced nurse and clinical lead and is well liked and respected by the residents, their families and the care team at Ruddington Manor.
Over the last few years, she has been instrumental in driving the care home forward, not only to deliver outstanding care for residents but also to empower and develop the care team to ensure everyone reaches their full potential.
She was nominated for the award by Ruddington’s senior nurse Iulia Marciuc and the care home team who appreciate her commitment to creating a warm, friendly and welcoming work environment, culture of mutual respect and personal development and in ensuring everyone’s voice is heard and their contribution is valued.
Ruddington Manor’s deputy manager, Reanne Machin, commented: “We nominated Anne in the registered managers category because she truly is a great manager; she is an invaluable asset to Ruddington Manor and has worked hard to develop a wonderful atmosphere here in this home that is recognised and commented on by residents, visitors and the wider team. Thanks to Anne, we have a warm and welcoming family atmosphere and everyone feels valued. She absolutely deserves this award.”
Anne commented: “I was surprised but delighted to receive this nomination. I really do love what I do and the team that I work with. As home manager, it is really important to me to lead by example, delivering the Lovett values and exceptional care that we believe our elders deserve to thrive in their time with us. I am also committed to developing future great carers and enjoy training and developing my team.”
CEO at Lovett Care Group, Keith Crockett, added: “I’m delighted to hear that Anne has been nominated in the Great British Care Awards, she would be a very worthy winner. We have our fingers crossed for her and look forward to hearing the result next week.”
Part of Lovett Care Group, Ruddington Manor is a luxurious 66 bed state-of-the-art care facility located in Wilford, Nottingham, offering individual, person-centred residential, 24 hour nursing and respite care.
