A new training centre has been opened in Southampton to provide local people looking to retrain or enhance their skills with unique access to a range of accredited courses for the industrial sector. The CryoGen Academy is the only facility of its kind on the south coast to offer courses focusing on protective coatings, spray painting and blast cleaning.

Based on the Willment Industrial Estate, the brand-new training centre will provide the perfect opportunity for individuals wanting to broaden their expertise or those exploring new career paths, in light of the uncertain times caused by the ongoing pandemic. In addition, Hampshire-based businesses can access the courses to upskill their workforces and expand their own portfolio of solutions.

CryoGen has partnered with awarding bodies including Train the painter (offering its Protective Coatings Applicator course), whilst also continuing to develop its own portfolio of accredited courses. The centre provides the perfect setting for dedicated classroom learning, incorporates a canteen and has on-site parking.

In addition to hosting training courses, the facility is home to CryoGen’s own R&D centre, where the company already carries out a wide range of specialist industrial services for its clients.
