Independent business brokers Business Partnership’s rapid expansion in 2021 has continued with the appointment of a new regional partner in the East Midlands.
Chris Davis, who will be supporting business buyers and sellers in Derby and Nottingham, has a background in engineering. He spent more than a decade in the aerospace and rail sectors, working in sales, procurement, programme management and engineering before becoming his own boss in 2007 after leading a successful management buyout of one of the businesses he had been running. Following a bolt on acquisition, the business was ultimately sold to a major supplier.
Three years ago, he decided to leave the corporate world and has since set up a leisure and hospitality business specialising in luxury holiday accommodation for large groups.
Based in Allestree, Mr Davis was introduced to Business Partnership 14 years ago when he was looking to buy a new business.
“Tim Bayley, the regional partner for Birmingham and Warwickshire, was handling the sale and even though it didn’t work out he taught me the valuable lesson that there will always be a buyer for every business,” he said.
