The Advanced Manufacturing Forum (AMF) has announced the appointment of two new additions to its board, Rachel Skeoch and Tom Coverdale, to add new skills and expertise. The key appointments will help to push forward its mission to drive collaboration and success within the North East’s manufacturing industry.
The AMF is a members network that connects and supports manufacturers and engineering businesses from across the region through industry events, knowledge-sharing sessions, and collaborative projects aimed at advancing manufacturing technologies and best practice.
By facilitating open dialogue and knowledge exchange, the AMF aims to empower manufacturers with the insights and resources needed to navigate challenges and seize opportunities in an evolving landscape.
The appointment of Rachel Skeoch brings a wealth of expertise and strategic vision to the AMF. With more than a decade of experience in B2B marketing, Rachel’s diverse background spanning start-ups to global FTSE 250 firms make her a valuable asset to the team. Having previously spearheaded marketing and communication strategies for prominent engineering and manufacturing brands in the region, Rachel possesses an in-depth understanding of the sector’s intricacies.
Rachel’s commitment and passion for supporting the engineering and manufacturing community in the North East is evident, as she aims to enhance competitiveness on a national level. Rachel’s appointment underpins the AMF’s dedication to driving innovation and collaboration within the region, further solidifying its position as a cornerstone of the North East and the UKs industrial landscape.
Tom Coverdale, who also joins the board is the third generation of his family at British manufacturers, Ebac. His career within Ebac has been marked by a relentless pursuit of growth and development. From leading the test team to actively participating in product design, Tom’s roles gradually expanded, culminating in his appointment as head of design and development in 2018. In this capacity, he oversees all technical aspects of the business, including design, maintenance, and aftersales support, while also heading the launch of new renewable products and cultivating strategic business relationships.
Tom’s desire to join the AMF board stems from his aspiration to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of North East manufacturing and bring new insight to the board from a business that is a pillar of our manufacturing community.
