Belfast Harbour and Cefetra bolster NI agri-food sector with multi-million-pound port investment

Belfast Harbour and Cefetra have reinforced their long-term commitment to Northern Ireland’s feed and agri-food sector through a significant multi-million-pound investment in upgraded storage infrastructure at the port.

Delivered by Belfast Harbour in close partnership with Cefetra, the refurbishment and enhancement of the existing storage complex marks a key step in strengthening supply chain resilience, improving efficiency and supporting the future growth of the feed industry across the region.

The investment reflects a shared commitment to the long-term future of the sector and underlines the strength of the relationship between the two organisations, built over more than two decades of collaboration.

Belfast continues to play a strategically important role as a gateway for feed raw materials into Northern Ireland, supporting livestock production and the wider agri-food industry. The scale of investment demonstrates confidence in ongoing demand and in Cefetra’s role as a trusted, long-term supply chain partner.
