Blueprint Completes Land Acquisition for Trent Basin

Nottingham based Blueprint Regeneration has reached a key milestone in its development of Trent Basin, with the acquisition of the final tranche of land required to deliver Blueprints vision for this key regeneration area.

The acquisition completes the land assembly for this exciting new waterside neighbourhood.

Trent Basin is the £100 million sustainable residential development, which is part of the 250-acre Waterside regeneration area located along the banks of the River Trent. It is central to Nottingham City Council’s vision to develop new and connected neighbourhoods along the river while preserving wildlife habitats and creating new green, communal spaces. New transport links, cycle and pedestrian routes for the area are in progress as are plans for a new primary school at Trent Basin; expected to open in the next two years.

Phases One and Two at Trent Basin are already complete with over 90% of the low energy homes sold. Work on Phase Three began just before Covid-19 lockdown measures came into force and is temporarily suspended.

Sam Veal is Chief Executive at Blueprint: “This latest acquisition at Trent Basin marks an important juncture for the neighbourhood unlocking the final parcel of land to bring the whole masterplan and new infrastructure together. Understandably construction on site is currently paused but, the team at Blueprint are busy setting in place plans for the additional services, landscaping projects and shared public spaces that we believe are key to wellbeing and a strong sense of community.

“All Blueprint developments centre on the people who will live in our homes. We give pedestrians priority over the car and think carefully about how streetscapes, landscaping and layouts create pleasant journeys through the neighbourhood. supporting cohesive and sustainable communities.”

Once complete, the Trent Basin neighbourhood will consist of 400 2,3 and 4 bedroom apartments, townhouses, mews houses and waterfront properties, designed around the historic industrial inlet of Trent Basin.

Established in 2005, Blueprint has been responsible for several high-profile developments across the East Midlands, including Green Street in the Meadows, Nottingham Science Park and Phoenix Square Leicester.
