British beauty brand ‘Dr Menopause’ launches to tackle skin and hair care for women in midlife

Dr Meno/pause launches to help women on a beauty budget

A new affordable beauty range “Dr Menopause” has launched to provide targeted skincare and haircare solutions for women in menopause – a life stage long underserved and overlooked by the beauty industry.

Created by former Vogue Beauty Editor and Consultant Vikki Lee and manufacturer Dominic Lawrence, Dr Menopause is the first high-performance, affordable range formulated specifically to address the visible changes that occur during perimenopause and menopause.

From dryness and sensitivity to pigmentation and thinning hair, the launch comes as the UK’s 15.5 million menopausal women continue to be underserved by mainstream beauty brands.

Developed in partnership with a leading dermatologist, each product in the seven-piece capsule collection is powered by clinically backed ingredients including niacinamide, peptides, resveratrol and azelaic acid, chosen for their ability to strengthen skin, boost radiance, and support the scalp and hair follicles.

Proudly M-Tick certified, the range also carries the Menopause Friendly symbol, giving women confidence that each product has been designed with their needs in mind.

Celebrating the launch, Vikki Lee, co-founder of Dr Menopause, said: “Menopause isn’t a skin type, but it does change how our skin and hair behave.

“We wanted to take the confusion out of menopause skincare and create products that truly work, priced so every woman can access them with confidence.”

Dr Menopause launches this month to mark World Menopause Month, with prices starting from £12 and every product free from common allergens and suitable for sensitive skin.

Vikki Lee added: “For too long, menopause has been treated as a marketing niche rather than a biological reality. We’ve taken a dermatologist-informed approach to create straightforward, effective products that meet women where they are, with formulas that deliver results without the luxury markup.”

Around one-third of the entire female population is either perimenopausal or post-menopausal in the UK. Most women reach menopause at around age 51, with over 80% experiencing noticeable symptoms ranging from hot flushes and fatigue to changes in their skin and hair.

For around a quarter of women, these symptoms are severe or life-impacting yet support in everyday categories like beauty and wellbeing remains limited.

Research shows many women still don’t seek help or tailored products to support them through this transition – with nearly half of women aged 45–65 reporting that they went through menopause without ever consulting a healthcare professional. Dr Menopause aims to bridge that gap.
