Shevani Wilson, director of Motor Marketing UK.

Pioneering Director of Motor Marketing (MMUK), Shevani Wilson, is set to add to an ever-growing list of accolades.

The Dynamic Awards 2024, the region’s major businesswomen award scheme, sees Shevani shortlisted for both CEO of the Year and Businesswoman of the Year.

The awards recognise the accomplishments of businesswomen across the South East and are made up of 16 categories in various industries and sectors, including sustainability, innovation, start-ups, construction and others.

There is a rigorous judging process with several interviews to decide who will make the shortlist.

Shevani took sole charge of Motor Marketing after the sad passing of her husband, Ewan, and has ensured his legacy lives on through the continued success of the business founded from their kitchen table in 2014.

The team at MMUK are no strangers to success, with a long list of previous award nominations and wins.

These include nominations for Advanced Apprentice of the Year and Employer of the Year, a highly commended award for Intermediate Apprentice of the Year and a win for Intermediate Apprentice of the Year at the 2023 Inaugural News and Observer Apprenticeship Awards.

MMUK was also shortlisted in three categories at the Portsmouth News Business Excellence earlier this year. These were for Shenavi in the Entrepreneur of the Year award category, Team Leader Lilly Nicholas for Apprentice/Trainee of the Year and the business itself for Medium Business of the Year.

Set up in 2022, The Dynamic Awards’ first year remained local to Sussex, with the awards extending their reach to include Surrey and Hampshire last year.

This year’s event will be hosted by comedian and TV star, Suzi Ruffell and will take place at The Grand Hotel in Brighton on Tuesday, April 30th. It provides an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of businesswomen while inspiring the next generation of female entrepreneurs.

Shevani says: “It’s an honour to be shortlisted in not one, but two categories for The Dynamic Awards this year. This event recognising the acumen of businesswomen in South East England is a great opportunity for us to highlight how essential and rewarding female leadership and entrepreneurship truly are. I’m also extremely proud to be nominated alongside women I’d consider great role models for my daughter to look up to.”
