Get ready for the highly anticipated NIHF Receptionist Awards 2024. The Northern Ireland Hotels Federation (NIHF) is delighted to announce the return of this prestigious event, taking place at the stunning Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel and Lodges this May, hosted by Pamela Ballantine.

As part of a series of Key Awards, the ceremony is designed to honour and reward the outstanding skills of individuals contributing to the excellence of the hospitality industry.

Eddie McKeever, President of the Northern Ireland Hotels Federation, expressed his enthusiasm for the competition, emphasising the pivotal role receptionists play as ambassadors within hotels. He said: “Receptionists are often the first and only point of contact for guests, contributing significantly to their overall experience. By recognising and celebrating their skills, we aim to highlight the importance of this department and the impact it has on guest satisfaction.”

“Receptionists make guests feel special and set the tone for their entire stay. These awards are our way of saying thank you and recognising the amazing work they do. We want to show that hospitality is all about great people creating wonderful experiences for others.”

The NIHF Receptionist Awards 2024 feature three distinct categories to acknowledge the diverse contributions within the role: Receptionist of the Year, Most Promising Receptionist, and Reception Team of the Year.

The award selection process comprises three phases, including an assessment day at the Clayton Hotel, in-person interviews, and a ‘mystery shopper’ visit. Shortlisted entrants will have the honour of attending the awards ceremony at the Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel and Lodges on Wednesday, 22 May 2024.

The awards are made possible through the support of key partners, including Tourism Northern Ireland, Guestline, Net Affinity, insight6, Fermanagh & Omagh District Council and the Life Adventure Company.

The closing date for online entries is Friday 29 March 2024.
