OCS Worldwide, the UK’s leading eCommerce cross-border carrier, has expanded its fulfilment centre, invested in new vehicles and strengthened its management team to accommodate its continued growth as a specialist eCommerce partner.

The company, which has bases in Heathrow and Coventry, has experienced a staggering 81 per cent increase in items carried year-on-year from January/February 2023 to January/February 2024.

The expansion is in part due to investment in the Coventry cross-border fulfilment centre, giving increased capacity to accommodate new services, and the addition of key UK retailers exporting to Europe and the USA, and fulfilment and grading globally.

To support this growth, Roberto Cinti has been promoted to the position of Operations Director, having progressed through the business during his twelve-year tenure, to achieve his new leadership position.

OCS has also taken delivery of a new DAF XG 530FT Unit and 40ft Krone Box Trailer, which is contributing to an increase in capacity of a third for its cross-border service to Europe.

“We have been growing every year, both operationally and in terms of the number of eCommerce businesses we partner,” said Roberto. “At OCS, we’re investing in our business, which will help us to remain the UK’s leading eCommerce cross-border carrier, serving many leading retail brands.”

He continued: “We have more staff and more customers, and with the expansion of the fulfilment centre in Coventry, with bigger premises, our business has been strengthened to support this continued growth. Our plan is to build on this and to give an even better customer experience, along with innovative solutions to solve challenges within the circular eCommerce landscape.”

OCS prides itself on being a one-stop shop for customers, offering a full suite of domestic and cross-border services. For example, OCS was the first company delivering into Europe after Brexit, supported by its customs deferment services. The business also offers the transport of international returns, and tailor-made solutions to enhance any retail offer.

OCS Worldwide has evolved from its early inception in 1957, as a courier service for newspapers and global mail, to become a major eCommerce fulfilment partner and cross-border delivery specialist.

Roberto said: “We were one of the only companies that continued exporting to Europe at the beginning of the Brexit process, even when other logistics businesses temporarily ceased their European operations. This was thanks to our innovation and forward planning to support UK trade post-Brexit and ensure that eCommerce still played a pivotal role in the UK’s exports.”
