Investors in People

Investors in People is to host its latest series of celebration events in Glasgow this June, with businesses from across Scotland set to be recognised for their dedication to achieving high-level organisational successes by investing in their people.

With over 100 Scottish organisations, including Celtic FC’s youth academy, Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and Scottish Water obtaining Investors in People accreditations throughout the last year alone, IIP has been an ever-present in Scotland throughout the last three decades.

Being held at Citation in Glasgow on June 19, the event will not only focus on Scottish organisations that have achieved accreditations or joined the IIP community; but will also give previous success stories a chance to discuss their own business transformation, with a variety of speakers including Taylor Wimpey’s Audrey Ross, East Kilbride’s District Housing Association Andy Young and Leonardo’s Anne J McCluskey also set to guest speak on the day.

Paul Devoy, CEO, Investors in People, said:

“Our celebration events present fantastic opportunities for our members of our community to come together to celebrate the success of organisations in our community, share best practice and learn from experts in the field of people development.

“I live in and am based for work in Falkirk, and I am looking forward to shining a spotlight on the brilliant work that is currently taking place in this country across all sectors, and as we continue to engage with customers and stakeholders alike, I have no doubt that Scotland, its businesses and its employers will continue to lead the way in high performance.”

With Investors in People’s Platinum accreditation the highest accolade that can be achieved against IIP’s standards and currently held by only 1% of accredited organisations globally, it is also credit to the current thriving business scene in Scotland, that seven businesses have recently been given the Platinum standard.

These Platinum accredited businesses are Glasgow based Abellio Transport Holdings, Young Enterprise Scotland and McCrea Financial Services, Edinburgh based Blackwood, Fife based Swiis Foster Care Scotland, Stirling based Ogilvie Fleet and Greenock based VA Business Solutions.
