It Takes a Village – Basking Babies Brings Franchise Family Together for Annual Conference

On Saturday 22nd November, Basking Babies brought together its wonderful family of franchisees for its annual conference. It was a day packed with connection, shared ideas and plenty of celebration – shining a light on the incredible way franchisees support parents and little ones in their communities.

This year’s conference, held at the Village Hotel in Watford, celebrated the baby massage and yoga franchise’s vibrant network of franchisees while highlighting its strong community culture. Bringing together franchisees from across the UK, the event provided a valuable opportunity to recognise achievements, share experiences and further develop their skills.

The agenda focused on both personal and professional growth. Laura Burchett, Basking Babies Nurture & Wellbeing Manager, led an empowering workshop on resilience, encouraging franchisees to strengthen their own foundations so they can continue bringing confidence, positivity and calm to the families they support. Later in the day, Anne-Marie Martin, Diddi Dance Founder, delivered an insightful session on building confidence in creating video content for social media, equipping attendees with practical tools to reach and inspire even more families to join their first Basking Babies class.

A key moment of the conference was the Basking Babies Recognition Awards ceremony. In advance, franchisees had nominated each other for standout qualities, and every attendee was acknowledged for the ways they contribute to the Basking Babies community. In addition, franchisees were celebrated for measurable achievements: Carla May (Braintree, Coggeshall & Halstead) took home the award for most successful franchise, Gemma George (Burnham, Hatfield, Peverel & Maldon) was most loved by customers, and Lucy Harvey (Benfleet, Rayleigh & Rochford) was named best team player.

For Carla May, the recognition came as a testament to the stellar support of her instructors. “I’m really proud of our team this year,” said Carla May. “We’ve done incredibly well — we set out to achieve certain things and we’ve gone beyond that. It’s lovely to have the recognition, because there’s a huge amount of hard work that goes on behind the scenes to make it all happen.”

Alongside celebrating the remarkable successes of its franchisees, Basking Babies is proud to have secured a place in the 2026 Elite Franchise Top 100 (EF100). Ranked 93rd among the UK’s leading franchise brands, Basking Babies stands out as one of a small number of early-years parent-and-baby franchises to be recognised on this prestigious national list. This achievement reflects the collective drive, dedication and passion shared across the entire network.

“Bringing our franchise family together at the conference is always such a special moment. It’s a chance to pause, connect and celebrate the incredible work our franchisees do within their local communities,” said Carla Davison, founder of Basking Babies. “Their dedication is exactly why Basking Babies continues to grow, and our EF100 ranking is a wonderful reflection of their passion and commitment.”
