A bespoke software development company has succeeded in boosting its sales revenues during the coronavirus pandemic thanks to free marketing support from Kidderminster-based agency, Citizen.

Worcestershire-based Nash Business Systems received the agency’s services after being awarded a county council grant to receive complimentary assistance with its marketing efforts.

Citizen was handed the brief to produce high-quality web content to help promote the business’ new core setup products, which are aimed at boosting the firm’s revenues during quieter periods of trading.

These include Audit All, a weighted auditing system for schedules, actions, and reporting, which can be used offline via a unique Android app.

Mark Nash, managing director of Nash Business Systems, explained: “The nature of bespoke project work is feast or famine – meaning when you’re busy, business is booming, and when you’re quiet, you have very little money coming in.

“The purpose of the new software range, therefore, was not only to save our clients time and money, but also to deliver products that could support the growth of the business during our slower months.”

Nash Business Systems recognised the need to effectively market the new products and saw the opportunity to do this with Citizen’s help.

Mark continued: “Though we had previously relied on word of mouth and our existing customers, we knew we would have to ramp up our marketing efforts in order for the new product range to reach a wider audience.

“We had met some of the team from Citizen at business events in the past, so we felt very comfortable in calling on them for marketing advice and support to help us to promote the products.

“This was the first time dipping our toes into using a marketing agency, and already we have seen a huge difference in the quality of our web content, which had previously taken us lots of time and effort to produce.

“Given the strength of the work that Citizen has already done for us, we hope to continue using their copywriting services and will definitely be referring them to industry peers and clients when the opportunity comes along.”

Charlotte Holmes, director of Citizen, said: “As a Worcestershire-based agency, we are passionate about helping local businesses to achieve their marketing goals, and therefore were delighted to lend our support to Nash Business Systems.

“Not only will the new product range help Nash Business Systems increase its revenues during quieter periods, it will introduce new clients to the opportunities that the business offers them to save time, money and effort with software systems that are tailor-made for their needs.”
