Links House at Royal Dornoch has been named as one of the UK’s Top Boutique Hotels today, at an industry awards ceremony held in York. Announced by the Top 50 Boutique Hotels list, which also picks the Top 50 Gastropubs and Cocktail Bars, the organization works to provide a definitive guide to the best places to eat, drink and sleep in the UK.

One of only five Scottish properties to be included on the shortlist, Links House at Royal Dornoch, the UK’s most northerly luxury destination, was named as number 26, and claimed the specialist prize for Unique Experiences.

Accepting the award digitally, Links House Managing Director Phil Scott has said of the award:

‘As a team, we are delighted to place so well and particularly our separate award.

It’s always a fantastic feeling to be highlighted in a group of your peers and particularly in the handful of amazing Scottish properties in this line up.’

The hotel is positioned only 100 yards from the first tee at the famed Royal Dornoch Golf Club and boasts 15 luxury bedrooms, eight of which are stunning suites. With its own putting green, sporting bothy, and multitude of comfortable sitting rooms for guests to relax and enjoy, Links House at Royal Dornoch has become a favourite destination for many.

Today’s achievement follows a positive year of growth for the hotel, who welcomed a record number of guests despite travel restrictions, as well as opening its new ethically minded fine dining restaurant MARA earlier this year. Focused on celebrating the very best of Scotland’s Larder, each diner choosing the restaurant’s Tasting Menu has had £3 donated on their behalf to Trees for Life – a Highlands-based charity dedicated to rewilding Scotland’s forests. Since opening, the restaurant has sold nearly 500 of the menus, allowing a donation of £1640 to be made to the charity.
