Student lettings agency loc8me has appointed Wesley Brown as its new Chief Operating Officer as the business continues to build on a period of national growth.

The appointment follows sustained expansion for loc8me, which has grown its presence through acquisitions and new locations in recent years. The business now manages almost 10,000 student bedrooms across 19 university cities.

Wesley joins loc8me as the business prepares for its next stage of growth, with a focus on supporting future expansion, integrating recent acquisitions and maintaining the high standards of service expected by landlords and students.

The appointment comes as student landlords continue to adapt to the Renters’ Rights Act, with loc8me warning that confusion around the new rules is leaving some landlords at risk of inadvertent non-compliance.

The appointment marks the latest investment in loc8me’s long-term growth strategy and reflects the company’s ambition to become the UK’s leading student accommodation provider.

Wesley Brown said: “I am delighted to have joined loc8me at such an exciting point in its journey.

“The business has experienced significant growth in recent years, which is only possible because of the fantastic people across our 19 locations and Head Office. The culture of hard work, dedication and commitment to delivering excellence for both our tenants and landlords is clear to see, and I am proud to now be part of that team.

“As we look to the future, our focus will be on continuing to strengthen our position as a market leader within the HMO sector. We will achieve this through operational excellence, streamlined processes and scalable systems that support both continued growth in our existing cities and expansion into new locations.

“Our commitment remains simple: to provide landlords with a professional, hassle-free service that adds value to their assets, while continuing to deliver an outstanding experience for our tenants.

“By investing in our people, processes and customer experience, we will continue to build on loc8me’s strong reputation and position as the go-to provider in the HMO market.”

Founder of loc8me, Raffaele Russo, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Wes to loc8me at such an exciting stage in our journey. As we continue to grow, investing in experienced leadership is key to maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence and customer experience.

“Wes brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record of scaling successful businesses, and I’m confident he will play a pivotal role in supporting our next phase of growth.

“His appointment further strengthens our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our landlords, students and partners, while helping us realise our long-term vision for loc8me.”
