A Maidstone entrepreneur has received not one but two impressive accolades last week at the prestigious Kent Women in Business Awards, which saw hundreds of business owners from all across the county gather to celebrate the most impressive women in business last week, on Friday 10th March.

Natalie Mackenzie, a specialist brain injury expert and cognitive rehab therapist, saw her important work recognised by winning the prestigious Leadership and Management award and achieving runner-up for the sought-after businesswoman of the year title too. This joins other previous successes at the awards, which has seen Natalie win across different categories over the past few years, as well as gaining important industry nods too. Natalie has also won Best Care Provider in the NR Times Awards, and was shortlisted for Neuro Rehab Leader of The Year.

After working in the field of neuro rehabilitation for over 20 years, Natalie has worked with many local families over the past two decades, is a proud trustee of Headway SELNWK and sits on the steering committee for Kent Acquired Brain Injury Group and supporting a range of ages with brain injury, cognition, fatigue and more. As well as her own practice, she runs the organisation BIS Services, which provides a diverse range of rehabilitation support.

“I’m thrilled to have received recognition at the Kent Women in Business Awards, which is such an honour. There are so many amazing women in business in our country, so to be recognised with not one but two awards is hugely exciting! It is particularly fitting as this week is Brain Awareness Week, and I’m so passionate about raising as much awareness as possible about brain injury, which can still sometimes be misunderstood.”
