A specialist security firm is supporting its meteoric rise as the fastest-growing security company in the UK with a further promotion in its team.
Swindon-based SSGC has promoted Nigel Williamson to national operations manager, three months after he was appointed to his role as regional lead.
Nigel has played an instrumental role in the growth of SSGC’s sister company, instaENG, an online electronic disruptor platform that was launched back in 2021. His wealth of expertise catapulted the business into the public eye, ending the year with a gold award win at the Retail Fraud Awards.
After more than 25 years’ experience with industry giant, Argos, Nigel said he welcomed the challenges of the fast-paced and rapidly changing security industry.
Commenting on his new role, he said: “I was both extremely honoured and humbled to be given the opportunity to lead the talented operations teams at SSGC as the business continues to see strong growth across the organisation.
“It has been a steep learning curve, as the security industry is very fast-paced and our business is growing rapidly with new things happening every day.
“The agile and remote working policies at SSGC mean we have teams sat across the globe, so it’s been interesting to learn how to manage them all and implement procedures. However, the level of tech we have in place makes the job that much easier and more interesting.
“I loved working on instaENG and to be a part of such a revolutionary platform was a wonderful experience. To end with such a prestigious award win was the cherry on top of a delicious cake!
“However, when I was approached with the opportunity to lead the regional operations team at SSGC, I had to accept as the opportunity was too good to miss. The business is performing phenomenally well and I cannot wait to be a part of its continued growth.
“Big challenges, big expectations, but I am excited for it all.”
