Coventry based manufacturer, Whitefurze Ltd celebrates the formal presentation of The Queen’s Award for Enterprise, Britain’s most prestigious business award.
The company who began trading in 1978 through servicing smaller independent businesses by then 17-year-old Owner and Managing Director Philip Lanni, kickstarted its journey to export success in 2017. One year later, its export revenue made up just over 4% of Whitefurze revenue and grew over 8% in 2020 in the final year of the awards application.
Celebrating their achievement, following a 3 – year period of outstanding growth in export markets, the company welcomed West Midlands Lord – Lieutenant to their Coventry head offices this week to be presented the commemorative crystal trophy and Grant of Appointment signed by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Winning the award in 2022, the export business is now on track to make up in excess of 12% of the company’s revenue this coming year despite unique challenges both nationally and globally that many businesses have faced since Brexit and the recovery from the COVID – 19 pandemic.
Owner and Managing Director Philip Lanni said “This is a very proud moment for both myself and the company as this award is one of the highest accolades that can be bestowed on a UK business”.
He continued: “over the years we have invested in people, machinery, moulds etc – for example we currently have a range of over 1000 live products which we manufacture 100% in the UK and supply at competitive pricing.”

Whitefurze now export to over 17 countries worldwide including Ireland, Canada, Europe, USA, South America and South Africa.
