Businesses across South Kesteven are signing up to a free app to promote their discounts, products and services direct to local residents.
Members of the public are now being urged to sign in to the HelloSK app, to take advantage of the goods and services on offer, which include listings of local events held across the district.

In line with its commitment to supporting the local economy, South Kesteven District Council (SKDC) has teamed up with award-winning technology company bubltown to deliver the app, which provides businesses with an easy-to-use tool to win more customers.

The Leader of SKDC, Cllr Kelham Cooke, said: “Supporting our business community is one of the key priorities identified in our Corporate Plan. The HelloSK app is an exciting new way of boosting all local businesses and revitalising the high streets across the District and encouraging residents to shop locally.”

The HelloSK app has been paid for with money from SKDC’s £250,000 allocation from the Government’s Welcome Back Fund. By using in-built location services, the app is designed to show residents the shops, restaurants, gyms and other services available in their area. Businesses can then offer exclusive discounts and offers to the app’s users.

Cllr Cooke said: “Residents value their high streets. However, the pandemic presented huge challenges for local businesses and the HelloSK app will help their recovery to continue.

“It will allow all South Kesteven businesses, no matter which sector they operate in, to create a profile for free and promote their business directly to thousands of South Kesteven residents.

“There are some fantastic businesses in our District and this app is another incentive for people to shop local and take advantage of what they have to offer.”

As HelloSK is the ‘go-to’ app for all South Kesteven residents, those who want to be among the first to access exclusive offers and explore their local community, can downloaded HelloSK  today from Apple Appstore and Google Play Store.
