Following a £250,000 investment, a brand-new duelling piano bar is set to open beneath the Utilita Arena this summer. Bringing non-stop live music entertainment to Birmingham’s hospitality scene, Jukeboxers is set to kick-off the party in the city once they open next month.

Featuring two back-to-back duelling grand pianos and an in-house band, this brand-new concept sees guests tasked with creating the perfect party playlist by requesting songs to be played via the Jukeboxers app. Husband-and-wife duo, Samuel and Shannon, are the founders behind the Jukeboxers concept and promise to bring the best of live music to Birmingham as they take inspiration from venues across the globe.

Following an extensive refurb, the brand-new bar has created 12 new jobs for the city, spanning from bar staff and chefs to musicians starring in the in-house band, bringing welcome news to both the hospitality and live music industry.

Commenting on the new business venture, co-owner Shannon Spreen, comments:

“We are so excited to be launching Jukeboxers this summer; the concept is something that is totally new and exciting for the city. Taking inspiration from our travels and performances over in the USA, we are confident Birmingham is ready to embrace Jukeboxers and bring the party to life!”

“Though it’s been a difficult time for all, especially the hospitality industry, we believe there’s no better time than now to open our doors. We hope to bring joy and happiness, and all of your favourite tunes, so that you can dance the night away with your loved ones once again.”

Samuel and Shannon will be joined by seasoned hospitality professional, George Sandbach, who has been the key to success for many hospitality venues across the UK, with his most recent position being the manager of renowned piano and wine bar, Sandy’s, in Oxford.
