Octavian Security Launches Two Elite Divisions To Support The UK’s Overstretched Security Needs
Octavian Security, which is based in Bingham, Nottinghamshire, has launched two specialist divisions: Octavian Elite and Octavian Ex Police.
The new divisions will provide high-end, tactical protection services, staffed by former British military personnel and ex-police officers, offering security for businesses, high-net-worth individuals and critical infrastructure.
Octavian Security is led by Kul Mahay, Director and former Police Commander for Derbyshire Constabulary, who was a Gold Commander with Derbyshire Police and has over two decades of leading critical and major policing incidents.
With public law enforcement struggling to meet rising crime and resource shortages, Octavian’s divisions bridge the gap between public and private security. Its services are tailored for sectors vulnerable to theft, vandalism and high-profile criminal activity.
Kiran Ghuman, CEO of Octavian Security said: “We are stepping into a gap that can no longer be ignored. These divisions aren’t just about uniforms – they represent unmatched expertise, crisis readiness and the discipline that comes from military and law enforcement backgrounds.”
The two new divisions offer vast expertise and offer executive protection, high-risk corporate and residential security, surveillance and threat detection, emergency response teams and asset transport and hostile environment operations.
Octavian Elite Division is staffed by former British Armed Forces personnel, including ex-Parachute Regiment soldiers, Royal Marines, RAF Regiment specialists and Gurkhas.
Meanwhile, Octavian Ex Police draws on the experience of ex-UK police officers, many of whom have extensive experience in firearms, public order and investigative roles.
These highly-skilled officers are trained at the Octavian Elite Training Academy, receiving advanced instruction in behavioural detection, crisis response, covert surveillance and cyber threat awareness to ensure they are equipped for high-risk scenarios.
They will work across executive and celebrity protection, luxury residential protection, high-value retail & jewellery security, critical infrastructure & utilities, pharmaceutical manufacturing sites, corporate HQ and financial institutions, high-risk events and football matches and prison and court security services.
“This is not about replacing our valuable police services; we’re here to support them and provide the protection that’s often missing in the private sector,” said Kul Mahay.
He added: “Our divisions offer highly trained professionals who can respond at a moment’s notice, with military-grade readiness and a solid understanding of the legal framework around security. We strongly believe in creating opportunities for former police officers and military personnel to continue to provide a service to others by using their valuable skills, honed over years of experience.”
Octavian is actively recruiting the UK’s finest security professionals, including veterans from across the UK’s armed forces, retired and recently-resigned police officers and professionals with firearms, CID or public policing officers.
Kiran added: “This is about offering former service personnel a meaningful second career. Their skills are essential in today’s complex security landscape.
“We’ve reached a point where expecting miracles from low-wage security guards is unrealistic. The need for trained experienced professionals has never been greater. With rising crime rates and strained resources, private security must evolve to meet these challenges.”
Octavian’s new divisions offer battle-tested experience, advanced training, and purpose-built response teams to handle high-risk environments, providing reliable security for clients facing rising criminality.
