Pleavin Power is ramping up its efforts to grow its X strong team after witnessing a surge in the need for client support.

The Bromborough based power generation company said that due to this winter’s bad weather and the next phase of the pandemic, they have been inundated with both new and existing businesses needing their help; meaning that they have put impressive expansion plans in place.

Founder and Technical Director Jack Pleavin said: “Despite the news of the Omicron variant, a potential imminent lockdown and further restrictions on the way, our firm is busier than ever.

“I’m aware that many other businesses in our industry, and the wider labour market, have come to a halt as the UK deals with the next stage in the pandemic, however we haven’t stopped as we’ve been providing clients with emergency power recovery – mainly due to the recent Storm Arwen and for the latest vaccine drive, which is being led by our client the NHS.

“To be able to facilitate this increase in workflow, we need more staff and so we are recruiting. The nature of our work allows us to continue even in the event of a lockdown, as our services are classed as essential, and we need the manpower to do this.”

The company, which has been operating for four years, creates bespoke Disaster Recovery Plans for a wide range of clients from hospitals and datacentres to Prime Power end-users and anywhere that loss of power can cause disruption. The plans are developed off the back of an intensive site survey where a member of the Pleavin Power team will design and implement bespoke control measures for emergency transformer failure or a cable fault.

This unique service has led to the team creating 40 bespoke plans for its clients, and as the winter weather continues and more storms are on the horizon, Pleavin Power is more determined than ever to obtain the most expert workforce in their industry.

Jack added: “We need engineers more than ever before. Our mission for 2022 is to get bigger and better; this includes expanding our already incredible team to new heights by taking on people who are experts in their areas. We’ve very recently took on a full-time videographer and we are also looking to bring in a business development manager.”

Pleavin Power’s clients include the NHS, Digital Reality, Velox Datacentres and Utility Oils. With its broad product support infrastructure and unmatched service capabilities, it delivers services that enable customers to achieve the lowest operating costs while maximising uptime and minimising equipment downtime.

The company’s news comes after national figures showed this week that despite the end of the government’s coronavirus furlough scheme in October, UK employment rose. However, experts are concerned about the emergence of the Omicron variant with many industries and businesses worried that the immediate future of employment will be negatively impacted by the emergence of new cases.
