Home Instead with their 2022 trophy

The Elite Franchise Top 100 (EF100) yearly league table is once again taking place, the results of which will exhibit the very best of the UK’s franchisors. Established in 2017, the yearly league is now entering its sixth year and, with the entries opening today, the franchise industry is excited to celebrate the best in the business.

The EF100’s meticulous ranking system considers several aspects of the franchisors who throw their hat in the ring. Statistics such as the size of the company and the rate of its growth are valued alongside evaluative assets such as future ambitions and what contributions have been made to franchisees and the communities they serve. Entries are officiated by an independent panel of industry professionals to ensure testing is objective and the results are valid. This year, the judging panel welcomes industry heavyweights Pip Wilkins and Emily Price, the CEO and Chief Operating Officer of the British Franchise Association.

“The EF100 has evolved significantly since its inception and we are absolutely delighted to be an official award support to a programme which provides great value and exposure for franchising in the UK,” said Pip. “Initiatives such as these are critical to the overall evolution and development of franchising, as franchisors work hard to continually improve and achieve a spot in the much sought-after league table. We look forward to joining this year’s judges and exploring the great plethora of developments and innovation within franchising.”

The current reigning champion of the EF100 is Home Instead, a franchise who provides seniors with at-home care. Despite this franchise winning the league two years in a row, the competition is still all to play for. With the rigorous judging system in place, each franchise brand has their fair chance to be placed in the rankings.

Also on the judging panel this year is Anita Roberts, Franchise Director at HSBC UK, the league’s major sponsor. “It is amazing recognition for the franchisors,” says Anita. “Those ranked in the top 100 should display their award with pride, illustrating their excellence as a brand to those inside and outside of the franchise industry. I’m very excited to help judge the EF100 again. Last year I was blown away by the level of innovation and determination displayed by each franchisor – I’m sure this year will be no different.”

Entries for the EF100 open today – Monday 1st August – and will close on Friday 30th September at 5pm. Finalists will be announced on Monday 5th December and the celebratory evening for the UK’s elite in franchising will take place in Spring 2023.
