Two rundown units on a well-located industrial estate in the north of Coventry have undergone a major refurbishment to provide new trade counter business opportunities.
The Wigley Group has invested in excess of £100,000 to modernise the units, both of around 10,000 sq ft, on Albion Industrial Estate in Foleshill.

The Warwickshire-based property, development and construction company acquired six vacant units on the industrial estate earlier this year and has now completed extensive works on the adjoining two which front Endemere Road, off Lockhurst Lane.

The refurbishment has created units with offices, storage and parking which would be ideal for trade counter or production storage and are now available for leasehold through joint agents Bromwich Hardy and Avison Young.

Louis Smith, head of estates at The Wigley Group, said: “The location and the nature of the buildings particularly lends itself to trade counter use and we have given both units a full facelift which are now ready for an occupier to move in and hit the ground running.
“Both units have been refurbished from top to bottom, and inside and out, to a high standard with the opportunity for additional minor works to create a more bespoke trading environment.

“We have stripped out the partitioned warehouses to create large open and bright spaces with LED lighting, undertaken extensive roof repairs, installed new windows and doors, modernised the offices and carried out groundworks at the front to provide secure parking.
“They are now available on separate leasehold and with the high standard of refurbishment combined with the sought-after location, with easy access to the city centre and motorway links, we expect there to be strong interest.”

The works were carried out by The Wigley Group’s construction arm, Wigley Building and Development, which is also progressing on another commercial opportunity on the edge of Coventry.

A new industrial unit suited for logistics, Exhall3, is being built as part of a major redevelopment of the site owned by the company in School Lane, Exhall.

Louis added: “With the steps we had taken as a business to adapt from the outset of the Coronavirus pandemic, we have been able to continue working safely and responsibly on both sites and it is great to have now completed our works at Albion Industrial Estate.

“We look forward to welcoming new occupiers to both units in the near future and supporting them in creating employment opportunities in the area in what will be a positive sign for the local economy.”
