Charlie Wood, Partner at SAS Daniels Solicitors

Charlie Wood, partner at Cheshire-based law firm SAS Daniels LLP, has been appointed as a Board Director at Totally Stockport, Stockport’s Business Improvement District (BID).

In addition to his role in the employment law team at the leading full-service firm, helping businesses and individuals with a wide range of HR and employment-related issues, Charlie will be actively involved in the BID, working alongside his fellow directors to ensure that Stockport continues to thrive as a prime place to live, work and socialise.

Charlie has successfully developed a network of contacts in and around the area, regularly attending Stockport-focused events as a representative of his firm. His keen interest in local networking and business development makes him an ideal candidate for a board position.

Significantly, Charlie also serves as one of the committee members of Future Stockport, a new networking group dedicated to empowering young professionals from across the Stockport area.

Speaking on his appointment, Charlie said: “If you look at how much Stockport has changed since the BID first started, the development is incredible. However, there is still so much potential and many more exciting developments yet to come.

“I am very proud to be a part of the Stockport BID and will work hard, along with my fellow directors, to be a representative of levy payers and work towards the continuing improvement of Stockport.”

Mike Lamont, Chairman of Stockport’s BID board, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Charlie to the board. The board’s main responsibility is to the BID levy payers, and it is important that the directors are able to represent a cross-section of business sectors.  As a Stockport-based lawyer specialising in Employment Law, Charlie’s knowledge, experience, and input will be valuable to not only colleagues at the BID, but also in support of our town centre businesses.”
