Sheffield digital agency serves up recipe for success

Sheffield based digital marketing agency SOUP. is celebrating a significant period of growth after a year of new client wins, team appointments and industry recognition. Revenue at the agency has increased by 380%, the team has grown from 5 to 27 during the pandemic, and they are now in the running for this year’s ‘Marketing Agency of the Year’ at the prestigious The Drum Awards for Marketing.

Founded by entrepreneur Amanda Perry in 2018, SOUP. is regarded as one of the leading agencies for paid social: supporting clients with performance marketing, content creation, and influencer outreach. In the past 12 months, the agency has created and recruited for 22 roles: starting lockdown with five employees and returning to its Sheffield-based studio as a team of 27.

From social media content and market research to growth strategy and full funnel management, the SOUP. team specialises in scaling e-commerce brands quickly and sustainably through the power of paid social. They work with global brands including Heineken, Hewlett & Co, Infini London, Lucy Locket Loves and Pocket Sport, to name a few.

Speaking about SOUP.’s recent success, founder Amanda Perry comments:

“The past year has certainly been one to remember and I didn’t expect us to grow as quickly as we have! It’s been so fantastic to create jobs and welcome new team members on board. Everyone has embraced remote working so well, but it’s great to be back together, seeing the team create magic for our clients!”

Having scaled and sold three businesses prior to setting up SOUP., Amanda Perry has seen and done it all. An expert in digital marketing and investor in several UK-based businesses, she leads the agency with over 15 years’ experience.

“We’ve been operating in the digital marketing scene for several years but have really seen scale-up brands embrace paid social over the past 12 months. Before now, many saw it as a nice-to-have but when done right, and backed by insight and market research, paid social is such a powerful tool for growth.

As more consumers moved to online shopping during lockdown, our clients have seen first-hand that it really is the most cost-effective way to drive sales. I love that SOUP. is part of this upwards trend; supporting clients on their journey to increased website traffic, more customers and, most importantly, bigger revenues,” she concludes.

Alongside agency growth, SOUP. is also celebrating being shortlisted for ‘Marketing Agency of the Year’ at The Drum Awards for Marketing 2021; a global event that recognises the best in the business. This comes on the back of SOUP. also achieving ‘Preferred Marketing Partner’ status from Facebook, delivering large-scale campaigns worth millions of pounds every year.
