Building has started at Redrow South West's newest development Polden Orchards

A local housebuilder has begun work ahead of 120 new homes being built at an exciting new development in Puriton.

Redrow South West has officially started work on its brand-new 18-acre development, Polden Orchards, on Woolavington Road, in Puriton.

Three and four-bedroom properties will be available from Redrow’s award-winning Heritage Collection, which sees architecture inspired by the arts and crafts era coupled with contemporary high-spec interiors. Promising modern living spaces rich with character, many of the homes will feature large open-plan living areas and elegant design details.

As part of Redrow’s focus on building responsibly, Polden Orchards will also feature plenty of green open spaces, with funds being invested in habitat enhancement. The development is also accessible to both the M5 and A38 for travel further afield.

Sian Smith, Sales Director for Redrow South West, said: “We’re thrilled to have broken ground on our latest development, Polden Orchards.

“This development offers plenty of amenities and highly rated schools nearby, as well as being surrounded by picturesque countryside, making Polden Orchards the perfect spot for families and commuters alike.

“We expect these homes will be very popular, so would advise anyone looking to move to the area to register their interest sooner rather than later.”

Located in the charming village of Puriton, Polden Orchards will offer excellent transport links via road and public transport to Woolavington and Steart, providing the perfect balance of rural living and easy access to a range of amenities. With a range of three and four-bedroom homes, the new development will be ideal for all lifestyles, from first-time buyers to families and young professionals to those looking to rightsize.
