Stay near some of the world's biggest theme parks including Walt Disney World.

UK villa operator Solmar is bringing a sprinkle of Mickey Mouse magic to its customers after launching long-haul holiday packages to Florida for the very first time.

The move means that the family-run, award-winning firm is set to become the only UK independent villa operator to organise villa, flight, car-hire and attraction ticket packages in-house to the US.

Solmar chief executive Julie Blake said: “In the words of Mickey Mouse himself ‘all you need is a little bit of magic’ and ‘oh boy’ the Solmar team have certainly worked their magic to ensure our new Florida packages offer everything for the perfect family holiday, and more.

“No other independent villa operator is a one-stop shop organising villas, flights, transfers, airport parking, car hire and attraction tickets in-house so we’re very excited about this latest addition to our portfolio.

“We know from our own research that our customers want packages, they want ease of booking and they want to book everything in one place, so we’re delighted to be able to offer customers bespoke packages to suit their needs – all with the security of ATOL and ABTA bonding.”

Initially Solmar will be offering 214 different Florida villas but this number will rise to 300 plus by next year.

More than 150 of these will be in the theme-park capital of Orlando, with a further 62 on the Gulf Coast, in sought-after resorts like Anna Maria Island, Charlotte Harbour, Manasota Beach, Englewood and Venice.

There is a villa to suit every traveller, ranging from three-bedroom family homes to 10-bedroom villas that are ideal for big groups travelling together.

Some of the villas also have themed character rooms for Disney and Harry Potter fans, and many are on residential complexes such as Champions Gate, Highlands Reserve, Storey Lake, Windsor Island and Solara Resort, where guests can enjoy access to clubhouses with swimming pools, waterparks and restaurants.

There is also a selection of individual one-off villas in the Disney and Kissimmee area.

Julie added: “People can book everything through us – we have access to all the park tickets as well as a huge selection of other add-ons through our extensive partner network, and we will be offering a wide range of flights. We don’t favour any airline and will find the best flight options for each customer. Our guests can also relax in the knowledge that they will have 24-hour access to our UK Solmar team members thanks to our unique Holiday Helpline.

“Our customers are the driving force behind everything we do and we’re really excited to welcome the first guests to fantastic Florida!”

The move into long-haul destinations is part of a wider investment by Solmar, which has already become a firm household name with customers for its European and Mediterranean villa holidays.
