A Surrey veterinary practice has started work on creating an incredible new £1.4 million surgery which is set to open its doors next year.
Linnaeus-owned Alder Veterinary Practice will be relocating to a new purpose-built, 5,000 sq ft Guildford surgery in January 2022, with building work already well under way on the ambitious project.
The new site, which is just five minutes from Alder’s current location in Worplesdon Road, will boast some of the finest veterinary facilities and embrace the very latest technology to deliver the best treatments possible for its small animal and exotic patients.
Facilities will include separate dog and cat waiting areas, with the practice aiming to achieve the prestigious International Society of Feline Medicine gold cat-friendly status; two operating theatres and a dental suite, as well as a pharmacy and dedicated on-site parking spaces.
As a result of the site move, Alder’s expert team will also increase in size with a number of jobs likely to be created.
Elizabeth Wozniak, lead clinical director at Alder Vets, has welcomed the significant investment by parent company Linnaeus, which she said would reinforce Alder’s commitment to excellence.
Elizabeth said: “It’s an incredibly exciting time for Alder and this new £1.4 million practice is a really clear signal that we are committed to delivering a level of excellence in treatment and care which is second to none.

Alder will also be working with national accreditation scheme Investors in the Environment (iiE) to introduce a bold green initiative to substantially reduce its environmental impact and enhance its sustainability.
