Switalskis Solicitors has added a sprinkling of Christmas cheer to Sheffield-based charity, Paces, having raised £2.5k through its Christmas fundraising activities during December.
Switalskis pledged its commitment to supporting Paces – which provides specialist rehabilitation and education for people with neurological conditions including Cerebral Palsy – as its main charity partner, in Spring. As many of its planned fundraising activities have been postponed due to Covid-19 restrictions, Switalskis decided to hold a socially distanced Christmas jumper day and donate proceeds to Paces.
The donation will go towards Paces’ campaign to raise money to build a new state-of-the-art centre of excellence for Conductive Education, which will allow the charity to support three times more children and adults in the future.
Chief Executive of Paces, Dr Spencer Pitfield OBE, says: “We are so very grateful to all Switalskis colleagues for their wonderful Christmas donation to Paces Charity of £2,500. Switalskis is a Charity Partner of Paces and we are so very thankful for all their ongoing and dedicated fundraising over many years now. Every pound donated to Paces is used to improve our school and adult service provisions and as such absolutely helps to provide additional resources that are not funded by statutory means. We have been a supporter of the charity for many years due to a close affiliation with the work the charity carries out and the families it helps. We are in talks about major fundraising initiatives with them for 2021 and are committed to help raise awareness of the important work they do across the region to transform the lives of families, children and adults living with neurological conditions.”
