Shaping Portsmouth announced Terence Carvalho as the new Programme Lead for Portsmouth Ambassadors, marking a significant milestone in his ongoing commitment to his hometown.
Terence Carvalho’s roots in Portsmouth run deep. He has long been an active Portsmouth Ambassador, dedicated to promoting and celebrating the city. Beyond his ambassadorship, Terence serves as a board trustee for The Literacy Hubs in Portsmouth and played a crucial role in managing a COVID-19 Test Centre during the height of the pandemic, all while maintaining a full-time career.
Terence brings a wealth of leadership and management experience to his new role, with a career spanning 15 years, including positions as House Manager and Corporate Manager at the Kings Theatre, as well as Hospitality Manager at Becketts Southsea. Currently, he holds the position of Regional Director for Delivered Social in Portsmouth, where he leads a team of professionals committed to providing exceptional digital marketing services to local businesses.
Terence Carvalho’s appointment as Programme Lead for Portsmouth Ambassadors aligns with his vision of elevating Portsmouth as the premier city in the UK to live, learn, and invest. He aims to foster collaborations with local businesses and charities, encouraging them to become official Portsmouth Ambassadors and showcase their pride in the city.
Terence’s impact on Portsmouth extends well beyond his professional roles. He is known for his contributions to the community, including winning the Shaping Portsmouth Business Award in January 2023. Delivered Social, under Terence’s leadership, provides crucial support to charities within the city through initiatives like offering free websites to charities and students. In addition, Terence also raised over £2,000 for homelessness awareness by participating in the CEO Sleepout at Fratton Park earlier this year.
Terence Carvalho also garnered recognition from media and city leaders for his appearance on the popular Channel 4 programme, Four in a Bed, where he represented a local hotel and contributed to the city’s positive image.
