The VIQU Group Continues Its Expansion With The Acquisition And Rebrand Of VIQU Energy

After a business acquisition by Birmingham recruitment group, the VIQU Group, in August of last year, Birmingham company Consult Energy UK has been rebranded to VIQU Energy. This is a strategic move to cement its position within the wider VIQU Group and energy sector.

The VIQU Group, which was formed in 2024 following the acquisition of an energy recruitment business and the backing of two recruitment startups, comprises of four recruitment businesses catering to various sections – VIQU IT, VIQU Energy, Morela and MoveATech.

Operating under the same roof as VIQU IT in Edgbaston Village, Birmingham, VIQU Energy’s team will continue delivering recruitment expertise to energy, renewables and utilities organisations across the UK and Europe, with the added benefit of the broader VIQU Group’s resources and knowledge base to service its clients and candidates.

VIQU Energy’s contractor and temporary staffing solutions has grown exponentially since joining the VIQU Group, mainly within the UK green and renewables sectors. This highlights the VIQU Group’s ability to share best practice for the benefit of all stakeholders across all recruitment businesses within the group.

Ahead of the business’s rebrand, internal changes occurred to bolster these efforts, such as 3 promotions, which included Joseph Hewitt, a long-standing manager being promoted to Director and a shareholder within the business. Such changes, coupled with the opportunities to capitalise and cross-sell each other’s tailored services, has led to projected growth for both Birmingham companies in 2025.
