Over 300 young performers will take to the stage alongside a star-studded cast for Theatre School of Scotland’s spectacular Christmas pantomime

Theatre School of Scotland (TSOS) is set to bring its biggest and most spectacular Christmas production yet to the SEC this December, with Jack and the Beanstalk running from 16–24 December 2026 at the Lomond Auditorium.

With more than 300 young performers taking part, this year’s production marks a major milestone for Theatre School of Scotland, with the company introducing three separate casts for the first time to bring its ambitious festive production to life.

The production will combine the next generation of Scottish performing talent with a star-studded line-up of special guests, creating a spectacular Christmas experience for audiences of all ages.

A star-studded cast

Returning to the SEC this Christmas is Paige Turley, who appeared as the Fairy Godmother in last year’s production of Cinderella. The Love Island winner and singer will return to the stage in a very different role this year, taking on the iconic pantomime villain Fleshcreep.

Joining Paige will be TikTok favourite Miller McLeish, also returning from last year’s production, alongside fellow social media star Carly Pollock (@daddyandcarly). The pair will take on the roles of the hilarious comedic duo Hurly and Burly.

Completing the special guest line-up is Ryan Pollock, better known to millions online as Carly’s dad, Jimmy Boy, who will take on the enormous role of The Giant.

Together, the professional cast will join more than 300 young performers from across Scotland for a pantomime packed with comedy, music, dance, spectacular characters and plenty of magic.

Jack and the Beanstalk

When Jack’s family farm begins struggling to sell its milk, they find themselves needing to think outside the box to save the family business. Their solution? Turning the dairy farm into an ice cream farm!

But just as the family begins to dream of a sweeter future, trouble is brewing above the clouds. Fleshcreep, played by Paige Turley, has her own evil plans for the farm…and she’s determined to put a stop to Jack and his family before they can turn their fortunes around!

With a giant beanstalk, a troublesome giant, hilarious villains, larger-than-life characters and plenty of twists and turns along the way, Jack and the Beanstalk promises to be a spectacular festive experience for the whole family.

With more than 300 young performers, a professional cast of special guests and a production designed to fill the SEC stage, audiences can expect a pantomime on a truly spectacular scale.

The production runs from 16–24 December 2026 at the SEC Lomond Auditorium, Glasgow, with 18 performances throughout the festive period.

The biggest TSOS panto yet

For Theatre School of Scotland, Jack and the Beanstalk represents another major step forward for its annual SEC pantomime. Returning to the SEC for its fifth year, the production continues TSOS’s commitment to giving young performers the opportunity to experience what it is like to work as part of a professional production.

This year, that opportunity has grown bigger than ever, with three casts of young performers sharing the stage throughout the festive run.

For the students involved, the production offers the chance to work alongside professional performers and an experienced creative and production team, while performing in front of thousands of audience members at one of Scotland’s biggest entertainment venues.

Reece Donnelly, Producer, said: “Every year we challenge ourselves to make the SEC pantomime bigger and better, but this year really feels like we’ve taken it to another level. Having more than 300 young performers involved and introducing three casts for the first time is a huge undertaking, but it gives even more young people the opportunity to experience what it is like to be part of a professional production.

“We’re also incredibly excited about our special guests this year. Paige returning to TSOS after appearing in Cinderella, Miller coming back to the SEC, and welcoming Carly and Ryan Pollock (Carly and Daddy) to the production is going to make for a very special cast and bring the digital stars to the stage.

“Our students are at the heart of everything we do, and seeing them work alongside such a fantastic professional cast is exactly what we want our pantomime to be about: creating unforgettable experiences while giving young performers the opportunity to learn, grow and perform at a professional level.

“We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve created this year and can’t wait to welcome audiences to the SEC for what we believe will be our biggest Christmas production yet.”
