Thinventory deepens strategic partnership as management buyout is completed
The management buyout of nox Belgium NV and nox Netherlands BV has been successfully completed.
With the closing on 14th September, the management acquired the two companies from STERNE Group SAS.
nox Belgium and nox Netherlands will continue to operate independently, with NightBox Benelux BV (NightBox) serving as the parent company.
As part of the management buyout, NightBox is deepening its strategic collaboration with global provider of field service inventory solutions Thinventory.
With its HQ in Slough, Thinventory operates nine distribution centres across the UK, with key sites including Coventry, Solihull, Bristol and Glasgow.
The company will license Thinventory’s Operating System and use its technology, with the aim of providing existing and new customers in the Benelux region with an even more comprehensive offering combining logistics, technology, locker delivery, and inventory management.
Adam Smith, CEO of Thinventory said: “We are delighted that the transaction has been successfully completed and that we can now take the next step in our collaboration with NightBox.
“By combining our technology platform with their established overnight network, we are creating a strong offering for field service organisations in the Benelux region and beyond.”
For customers, employees and business partners, the closing provides clarity and continuity: all existing rights and obligations, including customer and employment contracts, remain in place. Contacts, agreed services and operational processes will also continue unchanged. Shipments, including cross-border shipments, will continue to be delivered as usual.
Daniel Bleckmann, member of the Advisory Board of NightBox Benelux BV, said: “With the successful completion of the transaction, a new chapter begins for nox Belgium and nox Netherlands. We can now develop our companies more independently and focus even more strongly on our core competencies and the needs of our customers. In doing so, we are building on an experienced team, a strong network and long-standing customer relationships.”
Olivier Storch, CEO of STERNE Group, said: “The closing has created the foundation for the independent further development of nox Belgium and nox Netherlands. My particular thanks go to everyone involved who contributed to the successful completion of this transaction through their strong commitment and close cooperation.
“We wish Job Venhoek, Jerome Koster and Daniel Bleckmann, as well as the entire team, every success and all the best for the new setup and the next chapter. At the same time, we will continue our chosen path in Germany and Austria and remain focused on providing our customers with reliable and high-performing logistics solutions.”
nox Germany GmbH and nox Austria GmbH were not part of the transaction and remain unchanged within STERNE Group. The existing collaboration with Thinventory in Germany and Austria will continue.
