Trident Limited Recognised As Manufacturer Of The Year

Trident Limited has been named Manufacturer of the Year at the 2026 Regional Business Awards for Greater Manchester, recognising the company’s work across textiles, paper, yarn and chemical production across the globe.

The business, with its UK offices based in Stockport, has built an international operation, exporting its products to more than 100 countries, while continuing to invest in systems and processes designed to improve quality, efficiency and the use of resources.

Trident’s manufacturing operations take place in India and cover a range of sectors, with the company combining large-scale production with a focus on developing more efficient and responsible ways of working.

One example is the company’s use of agricultural residues in paper manufacturing, turning materials that would otherwise be treated as waste into part of the production process.

The award recognises not only the scale of Trident’s manufacturing operation, but also the company’s approach to improving how it produces and delivers its products to customers around the world.

It’s recognition of the hard work that goes on across the business every day, from our manufacturing teams through to everyone involved in quality, technology, logistics and customer service.

“We’ve grown internationally, but we’ve never lost sight of the importance of getting the fundamentals right – producing quality products, improving efficiency and finding better ways of using our resources.

“The use of agricultural residues in our paper manufacturing is a good example of that approach. We’re always looking at ways to improve what we do, and it’s particularly rewarding when that work also has a positive environmental impact.”

With exports reaching across the world, Trident has developed a significant international customer base while maintaining its manufacturing operations and expertise. For Trident, the focus is on continuing to invest in its manufacturing capabilities and finding practical ways to improve its operations as the business grows.
