Growing independent Renault Trucks distributor RH Commercial Vehicles (RHCV) is on track to open its fifth site in teh East Midlands next month, and is still recruiting.

The new 20,000 sq ft facility is just off the A1 (at Tuxford) near Newark and will support local operators and fleets, by offering service, MOT, parts, and repairs at a new 8,000 sq ft workshop with three high bays for all makes of vehicles.  The site will also provide sales support for new and used vehicles.

The opening of the new site will service customers in the Newark area, as well north towards Ollerton, Retford and Worksop and is just 2 minutes from the A1.

This is the first time that local operators of Renault Trucks (and other HGVs and LCVs) will have a local facility on their doorstep, with service to help reduce the downtime for their fleets.  The manager of the new site is Chris Turner, Dealer Point Manager, who has worked for RHCV since 2018.

He is looking forward to opening the new site.  “We’re had some great feedback from local operators already and we’re looking forward to opening.  But we are still recruiting for top class local technicians to support what we know will be huge demand.”

Six new roles will be created initially in Tuxford, with many more over time and the team is still looking for experienced HGV technicians.

Award-winning Renault Trucks dealer RHCV (founded in 1977) has four existing sites across the East Midlands – Nottingham, Alfreton, Leicester, and Northampton and has been looking for a site in the Newark area for many years.

RHCV is investing in additional customer and staff amenities at the site.  Once completed the new workshop will be fully equipped with the latest parts management systems including a ‘vertical storage R-Mag carousel’ like those at its Nottingham site.

Nigel Baxter, Managing Director at RHCV comments: “This new facility will allow us to give a first-class service to existing Renault Truck operators, and of course open up opportunities for new business in this area.”

RHCV has been selling, leasing, servicing, and repairing heavy (HGV) and light commercial (LCV) vehicles across the East Midlands for four decades and employs 140 staff.
