Walsall mortgage brokers to boost first time buyer support with new digital platform
A Walsall-based mortgage brokerage is set to strengthen its digital presence and reach more first-time buyers after securing a £2,750 grant from Walsall Business Support to develop a new website.
RE Mortgages Midlands LTD, founded in May 2024 by directors Rebecca Robbins and Emma Jones, was established after both founders previously worked as mortgage brokers and decided to create a female-led brokerage of their own.
The business provides a full range of mortgage-related products and services, supporting customers with purchases, remortgages and general mortgage advice. While the company works with a wide range of clients, its main focus is supporting first time buyers in getting onto the property ladder.
The grant will be used to build a new and improved website designed to educate first time buyers and make it easier for customers in the Walsall area to find and connect with the business online.
Emma Jones, co-director of RE Mortgages Midlands LTD, said: “We wanted to create a platform that not only helps people find us but also supports them in understanding the mortgage process. The grant has given us the opportunity to build a website that is more informative and accessible, especially for first time buyers who often feel overwhelmed by the process. It will make a real difference to how we support our clients.”
Walsall Business Support offers grants and a free training needs analysis to businesses looking to generate growth, create employment or shape training opportunities within the borough of Walsall.
Walsall Business Support representative Gill Durkin said: “We are delighted to support RE Mortgages Midlands as they invest in improving their digital presence. Their focus on education and supporting first time buyers is a valuable contribution to the local financial services sector in Walsall.”
Looking ahead, the business aims to simplify the mortgage process for as many people as possible and help more residents in Walsall and beyond take their first steps onto the property ladder.
Applications for a grant from Walsall Business Support can be made using an online form on the WBS website by businesses seeking investment in new projects or wishing to improve skills.
