As many home retailers continue to gear up the post lockdown landscape, one leading trade furniture brand is also on track for an exciting relaunch.

The Willis & Gambier brand has been in the UK marketplace since 1990 its core offer being premium designed bedroom, dining and living cabinet collections.

It was acquired by leading UK trade furniture suppliers, Birlea, in 2019.

Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, Birlea remains in a strong financial position to continue with the promised relaunch and has made another investment by boosting the team behind Willis & Gambier.

They have appointed industry heavyweights, Steve Armitage (previously Head of Design at homeware brand Loaf ex-Loaf) and Steve Parsons, bring over 60 years’ experience and provide unique insight into both product design and retailing. Since their appointment, the new team has already led a complete review of the W&G product portfolio.

Jake & Joe Magill, Joint MDs at Birlea comment: “Despite Covid-19 the team has been working hard behind the scenes planning for the future. Several innovations are in the pipeline and will be announced shortly including the redevelopment of existing popular Willis & Gambier collections.

“Steve and Steve bring a wealth of design and sales & marketing expertise to the team and provide W&G with the experience needed to refresh and relaunch the brand.”

Steve and Steve are leading on the new launch of Willis & Gambier’s first new products for many years which will hit stores next month. Over new 50 pieces are being rolled out in stores over the autumn.
