Matt Cook, Business Development Manager, Acronyms

Leading South-West IT company, Acronyms has promoted Matt Cook to Business Development Manager. This is a reflection of Matt’s role in the acquisition of Cornish IT support provider, IT-OK earlier in 2020.

Matt initially joined Acronyms in February 2019 with an extensive background in business development across a broad band of industries. Throughout his time at Acronyms, Matt has prided himself on building strong business relationships, whilst ensuring that the client is getting the right solution for the right issue, and it is this honest approach, which is reflected throughout the business, that has added to his success.

This approach and his role in the acquisition and on-boarding of Cornish based IT-OK’s customers and team have seen him promoted to Business Development Manager. The acquisition of IT-OK and Acronyms move into the Duchy has been a crucial part of the company’s South West growth plans.

The Cornish expansion is already seeing many new opportunities all around the region for Acronyms as it reinforces its position as a regional wide provider of IT services.

“I am delighted to have been promoted to Business Development Manager”, said Matt Cook. “Expanding our offering in the Cornish region has opened up a real opportunity for us. There is huge potential in the market to help Cornish businesses with the IT issues.

“More than that though, the last few months has been about us ensuring that IT-OK’s clients and team were comfortable during the transition period. I hope that our company approach of honesty and technical expertise has meant that this period was relatively easy for everyone.

“I’m looking forward to the new challenges ahead of us both in Cornwall and more widely across the South West and know that the team as a whole can achieve remarkable things over the coming months,” concluded Cook.

“Matt’s promotion reflects his approach and expertise across his entire time with us,” said Tom Moore, Director at Acronyms. “However, this has been particularly the case during the acquisition and on-boarding of IT-OK, its clients and team.

“We see that there is a real opportunity in Cornwall for us to help companies with their IT challenges and Matt’s promotion will give him the opportunity to really drive us forward,” Moore concluded.
