Amy is new Partner at Michael Cummins Employment Solicitors
The specialist law firm Michael Cummins Employment Solicitors has welcomed Amy Edwards as its newest Partner.
The highly experienced employment solicitor joins after four years as a Partner at Tollers and will be working at Michael Cummins Employment Solicitors on all aspects of employment law, advising both employers and senior employees.
Michael Cummins, the director who launched his eponymous law firm in 2022, said: “Amy will make a huge contribution to our work thanks to her wealth of in-depth experience and comprehensive insight into employment law.
“Her career track record is impressive and she shares our firm’s ethos of a personalised service that comes from getting to know our clients and understanding their ambitions, so we can best support what they seek to achieve.”
Amy qualified as a solicitor in 2008 at Turner Coulston (now Borneo Martell Turner Coulston) after studying law at Liverpool John Moores University and the College of Law in Chester. She then worked at Brethertons Solicitors, progressing from Employment Solicitor to Associate, then Head of Employment and ultimately Partner.
Amy, who joins the now seven-strong firm as its third partner, said: “I am very much looking forward to working with Michael and the team at a firm which specialises in employment law.
“That focus means we can build relationships with clients and really get to know them, become part of what they do and understand what they need from us to succeed.”
Before starting her legal career Amy spent a year working for a liquidator at BRI Business Recovery & Insolvency, which gave her valuable insight into the commercial world and the challenges faced by businesses.
Alongside her legal career Amy, a mum of two girls, has always enjoyed being involved in her community. She was previously a governor at a local school and currently sits on the Remuneration Committee for the University of Northampton.
Michael Cummins Employment Solicitors is based in its offices at Desford Hall in rural Leicestershire and at Colmore Row in Birmingham.
