Bolton-based digital marketing agency The Audit Lab has secured three award nominations in two months for their impressive work with quite the risqué client.

Digital award season is in full swing once again, and the agency – based on Spa Road in Bolton – has previously won at the UK Content Awards 2022 for Outreach Campaign of the Year, and received silver at the Northern Digital Awards 2023. Their campaign for sex toy company UberKinky – Introducing Ruby Payne – is up for another three awards this year:

  • UK Digital Growth Awards – SEO Campaign of the Year
  • Prolific North Creative Awards – Creative Courage Award
  • The Drum Roses Awards 2023 – Brilliant Use of PR

With the help of the specialist digital marketing agency, UberKinky was able to place its sexpert – Ruby Payne – at the forefront of conversations surrounding dating, relationships, and of course, sex. This resulted in them building more than 500 pieces of media coverage in less than a year.

The agency’s PR and content teams helped get UberKinky’s name in digital lights on sites such as Cosmopolitan, The Sun, The Tab, Express, Metro, LADbible and OK! by introducing the multitalented sexpert and kink connoisseur.

Along with record media coverage – a 263% increase – and a combined readership of approximately 640 million people, The Audit Lab’s efforts also resulted in a 42% increase in UberKinky’s domain authority, and a 43.9% increase in year-on-year revenue.

Co-founder and commercial director of The Audit Lab, Claire Crompton, commented on the shortlistings: “2022 saw us become a multi award-winning agency, and there’s no sign of this trajectory slowing down in 2023. It’s amazing to see the hard work and incredible results from our team get the recognition it deserves, especially real, tangible commercial results. We’re up against some big hitters from larger cities, but we’re proud to represent Bolton and the North West with the creative work we’ve delivered. It’s fair to say that the results speak for themselves.”
