Chorley-based self-storage specialist, Cuboid Self Storage, is celebrating being nominated for a top industry award for its ‘World’s Largest Charity Advent Calendar’ campaign.

Cuboid Self Storage, part of the FI Property Group, has been shortlisted for a prestigious Marketing Week Award for the campaign, which saw 24 steel self storage shipping containers transformed into a giant advent calendar. Cuboid partnered with Lancashire Mission Christmas to donate a container of gifts to a local charity every day for the 24 days of Advent supporting children and families who needed it most at Christmas.

Cuboid’s Head Office in Chorley also served as the Lancashire HQ for Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas 2025, with 158 organisations across the region requesting and receiving support throughout the campaign. An estimated 42,000 gifts were processed through the Cuboid HQ and donated to families in need over the festive period.

The ‘World’s Largest Charity Advent Calendar’ has been shortlisted in the Best Use of a Small Budget category at the Marketing Week Awards 2026, and is nominated alongside big names such as Nestlé, Foster’s, Kraft Heinz and Specsavers. The campaign concept originated in-house by the FI Property Group marketing team led by the company’s Head of Marketing, Pete Ambridge.

Pete Ambridge said: “This campaign was truly a company-wide effort with an incredible commitment from everyone across the business to make it such a huge success. Our in-house construction team played an important role in transforming the containers, while the Cuboid team oversaw the big build. The passion, creativity and teamwork shown throughout the entire project are what made this campaign so special and we’re excited to be nominated for this award.”

Tim Knowles, Founder and Managing Director of FI Property Group, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be nominated, and to be up against such recognisable names is testament to the power of this campaign. It celebrates not only the creativity of the campaign but also its meaningful social impact, showing how a bold idea, strong community partnerships and a modest budget can create lasting change.

“The Marketing Week Awards recognise excellence in marketing across the UK, celebrating campaigns that deliver exceptional creativity, innovation and measurable results. The success of The World’s Largest Charity Advent Calendar was made possible through the dedication of the Cuboid and FI Property Group teams, alongside the support of charity partners, volunteers and the wider Lancashire community, whose generosity ensured thousands of children experienced the magic of Christmas.”

The campaign was supported by agencies TLH Marketing, based in Bamber Bridge, and PR company Campaign, based in Birmingham, with content creation produced by Affixius Films from Loughborough, which was hosted by Olympic star and TV personality Sam Quek.

The Marketing Week Award winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on Thursday 19th November 2026.
