A leading business organisation has launched a new series of online networking events to help keep its members informed – and in touch – during the Coronavirus crisis.

The Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce has launched ChamberLIVE, which will bring together members and also hear from expert speakers during the period when face-to-face events are not possible.

Providing platforms for businesses to make valuable connections is at the heart of what is has done since 1903 and the Chamber wanted to ensure these opportunities were still available to its members during the COVID-19 crisis.

The online programme includes a Business Intelligence call with the Chamber’s Strategic and Corporate members every Tuesday at 10am, followed by an open ChamberLIVE networking session on Tuesday afternoons at 2pm and on Thursdays at 10am. Those events will be hosted on the Zoom platform.

On Wednesdays, attention will turn to Twitter for #CWChamberHour from 3pm where companies from across the region will be given the chance to promote themselves using hashtag.

The Chamber’s policy team will also be hosting a series of #PolicyHour sessions to bring its branch committees together with other regional stakeholders and decision-makers such as local councils and MPs. These will take place based on availability.

Chris Nagle, Events & Marketing Manager at the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “It’s absolutely vital that businesses are still able to come together at this time.

“In normal circumstances, this would be done face-to-face during our extensive events programme right across the region but that is impossible at this time.

“We have, therefore, devised the ChamberLIVE programme that means we can bring businesspeople together through online platforms and still get companies networking with one another and, also, hearing from speakers who can offer information and guidance that can support them in their business.

“We will also be on the hunt for potential speakers for these sessions who can really deliver added value to our members at this time.”
