Creative Web Agency EQ Completes Management Buyout and Eyes Future Growth

Bolton-based web and branding agency, EQ, has successfully completed a management buyout, with CEO Drshna Vara becoming the new majority shareholder.

EQ was founded in early 2019, breaking off from parent agency Bring Digital to form a boutique studio focused on delivering user-centric branding and web experiences. Since launch, EQ has expanded its development team and won national contracts with brands including Wynsors World of Shoes, Love Energy Savings and Sigma Capital.

The management buyout represents the next step forward in EQ’s journey, as CEO Drshna Vara looks to further expand the brand’s UK presence whilst continuing to grow the key creative and development teams.

Speaking of the buyout, Vara said: “Since the conception of EQ, I’ve had a clear vision for the future of the brand, the team and the service offering. The completion of this MBO allows me to pursue these plans and help the brand achieve its full potential.”

“It’s been a joy working under the Bring Digital umbrella and learning from their extensive industry experience, and we hope that the two businesses will continue to work closely together.”

David Ingram, Founder of Bring Digital, said: “The completion of the buyout is a big milestone for the EQ brand, and I’ve no doubt that Drshna and her leadership team will do an excellent job in this exciting new chapter.

“It’s been a pleasure to work with the EQ team over the last four years, and I’m excited to witness their continued growth.’”
