Environmental And Sustainability Consultancy Envance Joins Celnor’s Built Environment division
Stockport-based business, Envance, has been acquired by London-based Celnor Group (Celnor).
The acquisition of Envance is Celnor’s seventh northern acquisition since its founding in 2023. It follows on from Manchester businesses Concept Environmental and Urban Green, Chester-based Arbtech and Brownfield Solutions along with MSS in Derby and two northern offices for APEC Environmental all joining the Group, reflecting its belief in the importance of investing in the UK regions. The Group’s investment in dynamic regional businesses is part of a nationwide expansion strategy which will unlock opportunities for economic growth through facilitating job creation and enhancing business growth capabilities.
Founded in 2020, Stockport-based Envance has built a strong reputation for helping organisations embed sustainability at the heart of their projects. They provide end-to-end environmental and sustainability services, including ESG strategy, carbon and climate planning, ecology and biodiversity assessments, biodiversity net gain (BNG), natural capital valuation, environmental compliance and permitting, alongside digital tool development for monitoring and reporting. By combining technical expertise with practical delivery, the team helps clients to manage risk, improve efficiency, and achieve their sustainability goals.
Envance’s work spans the entire project and corporate lifecycle, from shaping strategy and carrying out assessments to delivering on-the-ground solutions. Their projects often integrate planning, science, and delivery, from ecological design, habitat restoration, and nature-based solutions to environmental impact advice and ESG reporting. Working across sectors such as development, infrastructure, planning, and corporate sustainability, Envance ensures environmental and ecological considerations are embedded from conception through to completion, creating long-term positive outcomes for both clients and the environment.
“Joining Celnor represents a huge opportunity for Envance. Our mission has always been to help clients transition effectively to greener solutions. Working alongside Celnor’s other member companies will allow us to scale up our impact, reach more projects, and deliver even greater value for sustainability outcomes.” Erica Kemp, Director, Envance.
“Since launching Envance, our goal has been to help clients navigate the complexities of environmental regulation while creating opportunities for positive, lasting change. This is a very exciting and important milestone for the entire Envance team as well as our clients.” Chris John, Director, Envance.
“I’m delighted to welcome Envance to the Celnor Group. Their sustainability-focused approach and deep technical expertise make them a natural fit for our Built Environment division.
