Harrows Darts Makes Premium Play More Accessible As Industry Cost Pressures Continue
Permanent Fortis price reduction reflects Harrows’ commitment to quality, accessibility and supporting darts’ next generation of players
Leading darts manufacturer Harrows Darts has announced a permanent price reduction on its flagship Fortis dartboard, as part of a long-term commitment to opening up darts to customers while the sport continues to grow at pace.
The move comes at a significant moment for the darts industry, with record participation and audience growth creating fresh opportunities for brands, retailers, clubs and venues, while global raw material and manufacturing pressures continue to reshape pricing across the category.
Interest in darts has surged following the 2024 PDC World Darts Championship final, featuring Luke Littler and Luke Humphries, which attracted a peak television audience of 4.8 million viewers and became Sky Sports’ most-watched non-football event ever. The darts obsession has continued to grow with the final of the 2026 Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) World Darts Championship engaging an audience of 2.5 million on Sky Sports, and the Darts viewership figures on Sky are now more than 100% higher than four years ago.
As more consumers enter the sport, Harrows Darts says maintaining access to high-quality equipment is vital to supporting long-term category growth, from grassroots players and home setups to pubs, clubs, academies and league environments.
The permanent Fortis price reduction to £59.95 is not a short-term promotion or seasonal discount. Instead, Harrows says it reflects a strategic decision to absorb pressure where possible, protect product standards and support customers at a time when premium darts equipment is facing a new pricing landscape. The product remains unchanged, with no amendments to the specification, materials used or the manufacturing process,
Damian Ara, Managing Director of Harrows Darts, said: “Darts is having one of its biggest moments in years. We are seeing record interest in the sport with more people watching, playing and discovering darts for the first time.
“Rapid growth brings real opportunity for the whole industry, but accessibility must remain at the heart. If more people are stepping up to the oche, whether at home, in clubs, in pubs or through schools and academies, they need access to equipment that gives them the best possible playing experience from day one.
“Across the darts industry, brands are operating in a much tougher cost environment. The rising price of key materials, including sisal and steel as well as the wider market access and manufacturing, freight and supply chain pressures, is creating a new price arena for darts businesses. The challenge is how we respond to that without compromising quality or simply passing every increase on to customers.
“At Harrows Darts, we have always built our reputation on quality, innovation and performance. We put a huge amount of work into the design and development of Fortis, and we stand by it as one of the best-quality boards on the market. It was created to deliver durability, playability and consistency, and those standards are not changing.
“What we are doing is making a conscious decision to protect the player experience. Where we can absorb cost pressures, we will. Where we can make premium products more accessible without compromising on quality, we believe that is the right thing to do for the sport, for our retail partners and for players old and new.”
The Fortis dartboard has become one of Harrows’ most popular products, earning strong feedback from players for its durability, performance and build quality. By permanently lowering the price, Harrows hopes to make premium equipment more accessible to a broader base of players as they enter and progress within the sport.
The decision also reflects Harrows’ wider commitment to supporting retailers and trade partners as demand for darts equipment continues to grow. With more new players entering the category, the company says clear value, trusted quality and product confidence will be increasingly important in converting interest into long-term participation.
Ara added: “The industry has a real opportunity to turn this current wave of interest into sustained growth. That means making sure players can buy with confidence, retailers can offer products they believe in, and the sport remains welcoming and open at every level.
“What this means for us is better design, better durability and a better playing experience. Fortis represents that, and this permanent price reduction is about making sure more players can access that level of quality.”
Founded in 1973, Harrows has spent more than 50 years at the forefront of darts innovation, supplying players around the world and helping shape the modern game through pioneering product design.
The new Fortis pricing takes effect from Tuesday 16 June.
