Leading European customs and trade solutions provider Customs Support Group (CSG) has strengthened its position in the Spanish market with the acquisition of Barcelona-based broker TEN Aduanas.

The deal expands CSG’s presence in Spain, broadening its geographical coverage while adding scale, specialised expertise and capacity to its Spanish organisation.

Founded in 2019, TEN Aduanas has established a strong position in the Spanish market, with expertise in transit operations, paracustoms services and specialised customs solutions for cruise and offshore operations.

The AEO-C-certified broker’s presence at Barcelona’s port and airport gives CSG a strong position across two of Spain’s most important logistics gateways.

CSG said by combining TEN Aduanas’ national expertise with its broader European network, the acquisition will give customers access to additional capabilities and capacity to support growing and increasingly complex customs requirements.

John Wegman, CEO at Customs Support Group, said: “The acquisition of TEN Aduanas is an important step in expanding CSG’s European network and strengthening our presence in key trade gateways across the continent. Barcelona is a prime example, as one of Europe’s major hubs for international trade and logistics.

“TEN brings strong local expertise and market knowledge that, combined with CSG’s broader network and range of services, will further strengthen our capabilities in Spain. We are delighted to welcome the TEN team to CSG and look forward to building on their strong foundations together.”

TEN Aduanas and CSG Spain will continue to operate from their existing offices to ensure continuity for customers and provide a smooth, disruption-free transition.

CSG first entered the Spanish market in 2022 via the acquisition of Transito 2000, establishing its presence in Algeciras, Cadiz, a strategically located gateway for international trade.

It further expanded its presence through the acquisition of DOJÖ Consulting Group in Madrid last year.
