juice® to Expand Eco-Conscious ‘Animals’ Range in Partnership with Wildlife Charity
Sustainable tech accessories brand juice® is continuing to grow its exclusive ‘Animals’ range created in partnership with the Born Free Foundation.
Initially launched in April, the quirky and colourful collection now consists of charging cables, plugs, speakers and headphones inspired by four critically endangered and legally protected species – the Lazy Giant Panda, Fierce Sumatran Tiger, Gentle Grevy’s Zebra and Ghostly Snow Leopard.
From the end of November, the fast-charging dual port mains plug will be available in the Gentle Grevy’s Zebra design, in addition to a brand-new palm leaf print that’s super on-trend.
juice® is contributing 20% of profits from the Animals range to the Born Free Foundation with the aim to help end animal exploitation – between May and August, almost £3,000 has been donated towards preventing the suffering of animals living both in captivity and in the wild.
For the last 40 years, Born Free has campaigned for a future where animals and people can coexist, for the benefit of all life on earth. Through its work across conservation, rescue and care, policy and education, the charity aims to protect threatened and endangered species around the world whilst safeguarding their natural habitats.
Jolyon Bennett, founder and CEO of juice® confirmed: “Since 2012, juice® has maintained its mantra of “just doing the right thing” for the planet. In recent years, we’ve focused specifically on our sustainability efforts through the materials we use – so much so, that we became the first mobile phone accessories manufacturer in the UK to remove all single-use plastic from our products.
“We are now looking to extend this collective action and join forces with like-minded organisations, so this partnership with Born Free just made sense – we both share the same vision of trying to make the world a better place.
“Since launch, the Animals range has received so much positive feedback. As the only collection we’ve designed and created specifically for the younger demographic, it’s different from anything else we offer. Why wouldn’t we want to keep providing you with more fun, colourful products whilst contributing towards such a meaningful cause?!”
In August, Juice took part in Born Free’s ‘Walk on the Wild Side’ fundraising campaign, created specifically to help end the exploitation of lions. The Banbury based team walked 23,000 steps to represent the 23,000 lions left in the wild, raising over £1,500 which was donated towards vital projects including anti-poaching initiatives, habitat restoration and community education.
The Animals range is available to purchase from juice directly, with the new mains plug hitting the shelves in TK Maxx from 28th November.
