Munchy Seeds are overjoyed to have hit the jackpot with a hat trick of  1* Gold Great Taste Awards for three of its delicious snacking products: Choccy Ginger, Choccy Apricot, Honey Roasted.

The artisan seed specialist is on a mission to get healthier indulgent snacking out to more consumers and share the joy of eating its slow-roasted seeds. These awards are testament to the quality of the Munchy Seed range.

Its Choccy Seeds are a unique, game-changing offering for retail, which the judges described as “an innovative product”. These awards, which are renowned industry wide, also add weight to the message to consumers that not only can they enjoy a healthier treat, but for those who cannot eat chocolate-coated nuts, they might be able to relish chocolate coated seeds.

“For over 20 years we have been working hard to develop our unique roasting technique and a range of products that not only taste incredible, but deliver on nutrition too. It’s amazing to be recognised by the world’s largest and most trusted food and drink awards for our gluten and wheat free seed mixes,” adds Lucinda.

The Great Taste Awards is an accreditation scheme organised by the Guild of Fine Food and holds the benchmark for speciality food and drink, with a panel of over 500 experts of chefs, buyers and retailers deciding which products will receive the 1, 2 or 3 star awards. The awards are also a positive way to receive honest feedback on entries from esteemed experts in the food and drink industry, with only the best-tasting products coming away with the coveted black and gold logo.

The judges described the Honey Roasted flavour as “a delicious and extremely moreish snack”, whilst the Choccy Apricot as “flavoursome and fresh” with a “good crunch”. The judges described the Choccy Ginger flavour as “an innovative product with a good combination of seeds and ginger” that would “work well in different applications or be eaten on their own”.
